The journey to becoming a sleep consultant started because I was a sleep deprived Mother. I’ve been where you are – months of sleepless nights, inconsistent and unpredictable naps and confused by all of the sleep information available. My husband and I were devouring books about sleep and finally put together a method that ended up working for us, but it wasn’t easy and we second-guessed ourselves every step of the way. If I had to do it over again, I would hire me!
From all of the sleep deprivation and confusion around what was best for my babies, Bella Luna Sleep Consulting was born. I became passionate about helping families develop healthy sleep habits for their little ones and decided to change my life’s work for this newfound passion. The benefits to both baby and parents are countless – mood and cognitive, behavioral, emotional and physical. Well-rested kids are normally happy and healthy. The gift of healthy sleep habits will help them through their entire childhood and into adulthood.
In early 2016, I proudly graduated from the Family Sleep Institute as a Certified Child Sleep Consultant and have been helping families ever since. The Family Sleep Institute offers an evidence based training program, where I gained hands-on knowledge to help infants, children and families to create healthy sleep habits so everyone is well rested and the best version of themselves. The program is extremely comprehensive and I completed over 250 hours of study in the field, including specialty courses on lactation, special needs, multiples, positive parenting and SIDS prevention.
Since achieving my certification, I’ve worked with hundreds of families both locally and nationally. I specialize in helping families with multiples, babies, toddlers, preschoolers and those that experienced infertility. I offer sleep coaching to families individually; teaches group sleep classes in person and online; and speaks about creating healthy sleep habits at parent centered events.
